I didn't see this the first time around, Kevin, but you have the wrong propers according to the 1928 American book. Please check pages xl and xli of the book.

This is a good work and I am very glad you are doing it.

Canon Tallis,

Thanks for the note, I was using the propers for Trinity 23 on pages xxxviii and xxxix and Churchman's Ordo instead of those for second Sunday before Advent.

For the sake of brevity I did not use both and will use the propers for Sunday next before Advent instead of Trinity 24 starting this coming Sunday.

If time permits I would like to do both sets, as the seasons have overlapped so much this year.

Regards,

Kevin

Kevin,

The intent of the prayer book is that from the Third Sunday before Advent those lessons will be used and not those for the Sundays after Trent. This was intended to revive in part the ancient longer Advent period called St Martin's Lent In the Sarum usage things wandered around a bit more than in Roman usage.
